FA-LA-ME Wins The 2016 Marina Cup
On Saturday April 16th of the current year, the Fa-La-Me (92’ Viking Sport Fisherman) was crowned champion of the Marina Casa de Campo Cup, releasing 41 Blue Marlins in 18 days of fishing.
The Cup started March 15th and ended April 15th with 157 Blue Marlins released by the 10 participating boats. The Cup closed with 57 Blue Marlins released during the first half in March, the release total went up to 100 during the second half in April.
The Cup is a Blue Marlin release competition that starts March 15th and ends April 15th during the Marina Casa de Campo fishing season, in which the boat with the most Blue Marlins released wins.
This Cup is housed in the Casa de Campo Yacht Club and each year the winner is added to its base, and gets a replica of the trophy.
The Cups organizing committee is conformed by Mr. Jose Gonzalvo (General Director of the Marina), Mr. Rick Alvarez (Casa de Campo International Blue Marlin Classic tournament director), Mr. Oscar Paredes (Harbor Master) and Mrs. Vilma Nuñez (Marina Casa de Campo Marketing Director).
